On March 8, 2023, Crawford is celebrating and supporting this year’s theme of #EmbraceEquity. We recognize that everyone has a crucial part to play in building a gender-balanced world, and Crawford employees are no exception.
International Women’s Day marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity, a world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable and as inclusive as possible.
We know that leadership positions in our profession are male dominated, but that imbalance is changing. Diversity, equity and inclusion are increasingly viewed as a strategic imperative by a growing number of companies in our industry.
Crawford has long recognized the value of equity in the workplace, proudly celebrating the legacy of Virginia Crawford, the company’s first woman director. Presently, Crawford has close to 50% representation combined of women and ethnic minorities on its eleven-strong board and proudly joins other leading companies who have elected at least three women directors. In addition, our global senior management team is over 30% women and minorities, and we hope to continue this momentum.
International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate women’s achievements, and for this reason, we are proud to announce the first global Virginia Crawford Awards where employees will nominate a colleague in the following categories:
