Crawford Catastrophe 鶹 had another successful conference at the end of February in Dallas, TX with over 400 attendees. The 2020 Crawford CAT Conference brought together new and seasoned adjusters, clients, vendors, Crawford executive leadership, field operations and the global sales team at the conference center.
The conference kicked off with a dynamic opening session on Monday, February 24 with a variety of speakers. President of Crawford Catastrophe 鶹, Griff Rogers, provided opening remarks regarding the successful response to 2019 storm events, new additions to our CAT management and resource team, and new updates to RENOVO. Griff advised that RENOVO is essentially an adjuster’s Jerry McGuire. If adjusters are wanting the “show me the money,” then they need to ensure that their profile captures their specific skill sets and certifications in order to communicate their hard work to the customers.
Members of Crawford’s Global Executive Management team also joined the opening session lineup. Kieran Rigby, global president of Crawford Claims Solutions, discussed the various opportunities that exist in a global company like Crawford, including adjusters crossing borders to provide further assistance overseas, as well as the importance of data to showcase valuable and relevant insights.
Global Chief Operating Officer Rohit Verma began his address by saying that there is no Crawford without adjusters. They are on the frontlines delivering our mission of restoring and enhancing lives, businesses, and communities. They are treating policyholders like family. They are forging the path to recovery.
The keynote speaker for the conference was Jason Caldwell, President and Founder of Latitude 35 Leadership. Jason engaged the audience with his message about perseverance and learning to know the difference between the best people and the right people. Crawford President & CEO, Harsha V. Agadi, continued to energize the audience. Attendees commented that Harsha “made [them] feel like family” and that his message was “positive, upbeat, and motivational.”
An award ceremony was also included during the opening session to recognize the hard work and efforts of our adjusters and managers in 2019. The award recipients include:
President’s Award: Zak Treff
Power Performer: Clay Self, Kevin Thorpe, Don Anderson
Manager of the Year: Kristin Tejada-Copeland, Laurie Doucet
Attendees were able to attend over 25 training courses throughout the five-day conference. These educational sessions help both new and seasoned adjusters enhance their skill sets and prepare them for the upcoming CAT season. Course offerings included the NFIP Adjuster Workshop, Water Loss Training, Wind/Hail Training, California Earthquake Certification, Xact/Sketch Overview, Adjuster’s Guide to Policy, and numerous client-specific accreditations.
Beginning planning stages for the 2021 conference have already begun, and we hope to see new and familiar faces join us in Orlando, FL!
