Thursday, July 25th marked the celebration of National Intern Day, and we jumped on the opportunity to highlight our interns for their contributions to Crawford. The Atlanta Support Center planned a fun-filled afternoon, including a pizza lunch, games, music and snow cones.
A social media takeover campaign launched on the Monday prior to National Intern Day to showcase the diverse range of our interns’ responsibilities. Crawford interns from Atlanta to Chicago, working in departments from finance to consultative analytics to marketing, shared pictures and videos of their offices and fellow interns, allowing followers of Crawford’s social media pages to gain deeper insight into the program.
The takeover, combined with the excitement leading up to the National Intern Day celebration, was a huge hit across all of the social media platforms. Our Facebook page saw a 118% in post engagement, and our Instagram page showed 100% growth in reach.
On the big day, Crawford offices from Denver to Sunrise to Atlanta celebrated their interns in their own special way. President & CEO Harsha V. Agadi spoke briefly to the interns at the Atlanta Support Center celebration in between rounds of cornhole and Jenga. Many of the hiring managers stopped by the event to share a snow cone with their intern and join in on recognizing the interns for their hard work. All in all, a lot of fun was had!
National Intern Day was established by the co-founder of , Liz Wessel, and the WayUp team. WayUp, a platform created for students and recent graduates to get hired, decided to drive its mission to inspire young professionals a bit further and introduced National Intern Day to recognize and celebrate the hard work of the future leaders of the world. The day allows teams to highlight just how valuable their interns are to their company’s operations—something that hasn’t always been a part of the internship experience.

Crawford’s interns regularly receive job offers following the end of their internship program, resulting in the Company gaining some of the best and brightest young professionals in the industry.
Interns are crucial, often undervalued contributors to the success of many companies. WayUp’s initiative to recognize these future leaders has positively redefined how interns are valued. Crawford has embraced this action and looks forward to continuing to celebrate our interns for years to come.
