On the heels of NACA, the Crawford Catastrophe 鶹 Department held its annual conference outside of Dallas, TX. Lasting five days, the event drew adjusters and clients from all over the country for a week of training, networking and collaboration.
For those who attended, the conference included a general session, multiple receptions, and daily training sessions. In the general session keynote speaker Nate Sassaman inspired all by reminding us of the “why” behind what we do and how with the right team and skills, anything is possible. In the words of Mr. Sassaman, “victory loves preparation.” In addition to our keynote, guest speakers included CAT Management Ken Tolson, Richard Folkman, Kristin Tejada-Copeland, and others.
Of course, one of the main draws of this adjuster conference is all the training opportunities available. This year, Crawford CAT offered the below pieces of training, offering attendees the opportunity to obtain up to 30+ hours of CE credits.
- Becoming a Successful Flood Adjuster & Improving Your Chances for Redeployment
- Catastrophe Manager/Leadership Class
- Client-specific Courses
- Commercial Claims
- Daily Claims with Branch Assist
- Don’t Leave Trees Behind – Covering Tree Damage and Tree Debris Removal
- Environmental & Man-Made Catastrophe Claim Handling

- + So Many More!
One first-timer, Stephanie B., said this about her experience: “This is my first year coming to the CAT Conference, and I’ve really enjoyed all the face time that I’ve been able to get with different members of the company. I would absolutely recommend the Catastrophe Conference to other adjusters. It’s been a great opportunity and so much fun. I can tell that I’ve already started relationships that will last a long time.”
Another attendee, Alvin A., said, “I came to the CAT Conference for the opportunity to network and learn new skills. My favorite part is meeting new people from all over the United States. It’s definitely beneficial for not just training, but networking and learning different sides of the industry.”
It's testimonials like these that make these conferences worth it year after year for the CAT team. Meeting with their roster, along with those interested in joining CAT, is a live representation of the commitment they make each day to provide the best support in the industry.
